Day 140, Iowa revisited

Had to throw this pic in because having the dogs with us makes everywhere feel like home , but also to point out to those contemplating RV life what a pain it is to have dogs along ! Both sides of the coin.

This was right after getting them shaved at Petsmart in Ankeny . Makes the ticks easier to find and produces less hair in the rig . Lady’s report card said what a wonderful dog she was , while Jess got written up for less than stellar behavior . She’s got little dog syndrome , and is so scared of strangers . Just glad to get them washed and shaved as the first place cancelled my appointment when I called an hour early to say I would be 10 minutes late . Let me know when that makes sense to you . Luckily petsmart in Ankeny stepped up to help us !

It reminds me yet again about all the good people there are in Iowa . I’ve told almost everyone since Iowa about Grandma Helen’s dentist who was kind enough to fit us in for teeth cleaning for all 4 of us . Plus Helen ! She had an appointment and they moved another until later and got us all in . From Murray’s hometown of Nevada , Dr . Hobt and his staff were so kind to us and are the epitome of what Iowans will do for others . His love of travel and Colorado also reminded me that we aren’t the only crazy ones who like seeing new places . I wish I had gotten a picture of everyone because they are a great group of people !
